Heavy Cape Amethyst Faceted Gemstone Necklace ~20″ Long- Sterling Silver Clasp
This unusual stone is Cape Amethyst. This might be a Jay King Mine Find but there are no markings. Each bead is faceted and long barrel shape-cut from the stone. The round beads that separate the barrel shaped beads are round seed type beads and are also made from Cape Amethyst. The “S” shaped hook clasp is sterling silver as are the findings. The length of the necklace is 20 inches long. It weighs 3.1 ounces. The number of round beads at each end is uneven. One side has one round bead and the other has 2. It really doesn’t make a difference in the length, and I never noticed it until now and neither did the person who strung it.
